How do I pay for sessions?

Payment is due at the start of each session.  I accept payments via Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle.

Do you take insurance?

I am currently an out-of-network provider. At the end of each month, I will provide you with a Superbill, which includes details such as charges, payments, session dates, and any applicable diagnosis. You can submit this Superbill to your insurance company to request reimbursement for out-of-network services. Please check with your insurance company for their specific policies.

What can I expect from our first session?

Our first session will be an intake and assessment to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and potential goals. I will gather information about your history across various stages of life, significant relationships, and other relevant background details to better understand your unique experience. This session will also provide an opportunity to discuss the therapeutic process, the limits of confidentiality, and for you to ask me any questions you may have.  At the end of our first appointment, I will recommend sessions ranging from 1 to 3 times per week, based on your unique needs.

What can I expect from therapy?

Our work together will be collaborative.  I will provide a safe and supportive environment for you to reflect on current and past experiences.  Some days we will celebrate success, while other days may be more challenging.  Therapy is a highly personal journey with no set timeline or guarantees.   Together, we'll address the challenges you're facing, build on your strengths, and work towards greater awareness and understanding.  No matter what lies ahead, I will be here to support and guide you throughout.

When does therapy end?

Therapy is a highly personal journey, and there is no set timeline. It typically ends when you feel that you've achieved your goals, gained the insights and tools to manage on your own, and are ready to move forward without regular sessions. Please note that you have the right to end therapy whenever you wish. However, I ask that you inform me, either in session or via email, if you decide to end therapy before your goals are met. I will then offer you at least one final session to process the conclusion of our work together and provide a referral to a new therapist, if desired.

How do I schedule a session?

To schedule an appointment, please email colette.thomaslcsw@therapysecure.com. Allow 24 hours for a response during the week and 48 hours during weekends and holidays. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please inquire about availability. In case of an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice via email. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments will be charged the full fee. Further clarification will be provided during the first appointment.
